It's hard to believe that we've already come to the end of the first quarter grading period! I'm absolutely loving my students this year! This year has been a first for me in several ways. It's the first year I've taught a fifth grade class. It's also the first year I've taught only gifted and talented students. And, it's the first year I've taught science.
Now, I'm sure you're thinking that the title of this blog says I'm a fourth grade teacher...so why are you teaching fifth grade? Well, this year I have my fourth graders for ELA, Science, and Social Studies. Then, I have the fifth grade students for ELA only. Craziness! But, I love it!
I've seen some great blogs here for, by, and about teachers. I have taken advantage of these blogs in my classroom, so I've decided it's time I give back in a way. I'll be posting some of the helpful ideas/tips I've found/used over the past few years in my classroom, and anything else that I find from other teachers that I think will be helpful.
